Immigration

All policies regarding im/emigration must take into account the partner and family of the migrant worker. Therefore, important steps need to be taken to ensure that individuals and their families, very often under pressure, are fully integrated and not excluded from the host society.

Does the report presented by the Commission in 2004, show details of, or indicators on, the impact that migration has upon the family?
Does it show details of, or indicators on, what support measures are available to migrants, their families and NGOs working for the purpose of integration?
Without such fundamental and elementary information, how can we begin to assist in the integration of migrants and their families? How can we develop sensible integration policies that fully respect migrants and their families?
